COLANTA - Social responsability

Today, the cooperative is a national patrimony, its owners are more than 12 thousand associates of Antioquia, Atlántico, Bolívar, Boyacá, Cordoba, Cundinamarca, Valle del Cauca, Viejo Caldas and more than 4500 associated workers.

Every year, associates gather in the general assembly to study the financial results of the previous year. Every two years, an administrative council is elected, together with the vigilance committee and the fiscal auditor. The administrative council also elects the General Manager and the committee for education.

Regional Education Committees created by the associates act as ‘radars’ to recognize and answer any doubts or suggestions that may be presented by the associates, transporters, distributors, competition, and common people. They are the link between the External Education Committee and the Operation, Technical and Administrative divisions, and the General Manager.

COLANTA generates indirectly 130 thousand employments.
